All from that little fall?!?!?!?!

It started like any other playdate.... a few kiddos playing and a few mommies enjoying the mommy chat. All the sudden Zachy stumbled and tripped. It literally looked like nothing. It wasn't a hard fall by any means. When I picked him up to console him I immediately knew he was really hurt, although I had NO IDEA what was about to happen.

Thankfully Rachel was there to help me stay calm. She even stayed with Quintin till my parents could get there to pick him up.

I was nervous about getting Zachy in the car, so I decided instead of going to ER, I would go to an immediate care. Zachy wouldn't let me move him enough to even put him down for x-rays so they had to xray his leg with me holding him on my chest.

Once the doctor saw the x-rays, he called an ambulance. Zachy had broken his femur:-( They took us (Zachy still on my chest) lights and sirens to Good Shepherd Hospital. They immediately started an IV so they could get some Morphine to help with the pain.

We had to wait 8 hours from the last time he ate to send him to the operating room. Although they didn't perform surgery, they had to put him under to reposition the bone and mold him in a Spica Cast. We stayed the night at the hospital to make sure he was doing alright.

Thanks Auntie Stacey for my Elmo. He even went to the OR with me!

Tired baby

Can you believe this is how the hospital sent us home?!?!?!?

Enjoying some special time

Love this pic!

This was a moment that made me a proud Mama! Notice I say "moment" because that is about how long it lasted. Regardless, I enjoyed "the moment!"

We are 9 days into the Spica Cast experience. I have to say it STINKS! I mean that literally too:-) Zachary had his first set of x-rays today and we are moving in the right direction. We go again in 10 days for more x-rays. At this time he will give us an estimate as to when we will be able to free Zachy for the madness.

Thanks so much for all the well wishes and support! We are so blessed!
