Good Friends, Good Times!!!

Friday night was so much fun! The guys went golfing in the afternoon. The ladies and the kiddos came over while we waited for them to finish golfing. The kids loved playing together. They even got a chance to play outside, which is a special treat with this crazy Chicago weather.

Q & TT are so stinkin cute together! We hardly saw them the entire night. They spent a good part of the night causing trouble in the playroom:-) At one point I hide outside the playroom door and listened to them play. I wish I could freeze them, and keep them little!!!

Auntie Carrie must be exhausted from carrying Zachy (AKA Moose) around all night!

There is just something about Auntie Nessa that the kids flock to!

A weekend of celebrations

Last Friday we kicked off a fun weekend with a special celebration. One of my dearest friends is getting married next month. She though Randy and I were taking her and Mike to dinner to celebrate when in fact all 10 of the girls and their men were a part of the celebration.

SURPRISE!!!!

Congrats Mike & Gira!

The boys spent the night at my parents Friday so we could enjoy a night out. Saturday morning it was time to move on to the next celebration... Daddy's b-day. When I picked the boys up at my parents they were working on a special b-day crown for Randy.

How cute is this?!?!?

Randy was super excited about his new North Face we got him for his b-day.

Happy Birthday Randy!!!

Quintin's last day of preschool

It seems like we went from winter to summer on Q's last day of school. Fortunately it meant the kids could go out and enjoy their field day, unfortunately it meant they were going to be HOT AND SWEATY!

The parents were invited to come back early to enjoy the end of their last day. The kids were in desperate need of some water!

Such a great group of kids!!!

We <3 Ms. Kathy!

Zachary loved playing in Q's classroom!

Buddies!

I heart Mother's Day!!!

I <3 being a mommy! What could be more fun then a day to celebrate what I would consider the HARDEST job on earth?!?!?!?

We headed to my parents in the morning for a nice breakfast.

The kids love to cook with Grandma. They all have their own aprons at her house. They wanted to make sure she had an apron as well. It turned out super cute!

The guys did a great job making a yummy breakfast!

Tired guy!

Not only was it mommy's day, it was Cam's b-day... HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAM!

After breakfast we decided to go outside and enjoy the nice morning. Not exactly sure I would have encouraged playing in the dirty, but they were happy!

And a random picture of a random visitor... a wild TURKEY right on my parents driveway:-)

Hope all the mommies out there had a wonderful mother's day!

The joys of motherhood...

So many aspects of motherhood are exhausting and challenging, but it is events like this that fill a mom's heart with an unimaginable amount of fulfilment. Wednesday morning was the Mother's Day program at Quintin's school. We had a chaotic morning because Randy had an early morning at work so I was left scrambling to get out of the house early enough to drop off Zachary at Auntie Nessa's. Thanks so much Vanessa for saving the day!!!

When the program started I forgot about all the madness of the morning and was a relaxed and PROUD Mama!

Here they come....

Q was in line right next to a few of his buddies

He was so excited to preform for me, he just kept watching to make sure I was watching!

Still workingo on the smiling:-) Check out the beautiful flowers he made me.

That's better

There was also a card with a beautiful poem inside. I couldn't hold back the emotions when I read it as it is a wonderful reminder. It is hanging front and center on my refrigerator and I plan to read it daily!

Sometimes you get discouraged

Because I am so small

And always leave dirty marks

On Furniture and walls

But every day I'm growing

I'll be grown up some day

And all those little dirty marks

Will all have gone away

As I grow, I'll change a lot

The years will fly right by

You'll wonder how I grew so quick

When and where and why?

I may be still very small

But this I'd like to say

I love you very, very BIG

Happy Mother's Day
