Trying to keep Zachy entertained isn't always easy so when all else fails... COOKIES!!!

I could just eat him up!

Johnny Appleseed Fest

I LOVE Fall! And it was the perfect Fall day yesterday for Johnny Appleseed Fest!

Q was CRAZY excited about his "twisted hat!"

Zachy thought it was pretty cool too! He also loved his sword.

Quintin took a ride on the pumpkin train. He also requested that I not follow him around.

Finally, Quintin did some pumpkin bowling. STRIKE!Check out his pumpkin prize!

It was a nice afternoon spent with the kiddos.

First Soccer Game

Zachary is going to be Quintin's biggest fan!

Q started on a new soccer team on Tuesday. He is super excited to be playing with Makenna & TT.

Action shot

I am only posting this picture so you can get an idea of how NASTY it was at the field. See all the spottiness in the picture????? Those are BUGS! It was so gross! Crossing my fingers that it is better next week!

Guess who scored a goal....

Learning new ways to get around...

Zachary is finding new ways to get around. He isn't loving this new source of transportation but it's better then being stuck in one place!

Quintin's 1st day of 4 year old Preschool

It's FINALLY back to school time. Quintin was so excited to say goodbye to the 3 year old classroom, and hello to the 4 year old classroom

All from that little fall?!?!?!?!

It started like any other playdate.... a few kiddos playing and a few mommies enjoying the mommy chat. All the sudden Zachy stumbled and tripped. It literally looked like nothing. It wasn't a hard fall by any means. When I picked him up to console him I immediately knew he was really hurt, although I had NO IDEA what was about to happen.

Thankfully Rachel was there to help me stay calm. She even stayed with Quintin till my parents could get there to pick him up.

I was nervous about getting Zachy in the car, so I decided instead of going to ER, I would go to an immediate care. Zachy wouldn't let me move him enough to even put him down for x-rays so they had to xray his leg with me holding him on my chest.

Once the doctor saw the x-rays, he called an ambulance. Zachy had broken his femur:-( They took us (Zachy still on my chest) lights and sirens to Good Shepherd Hospital. They immediately started an IV so they could get some Morphine to help with the pain.

We had to wait 8 hours from the last time he ate to send him to the operating room. Although they didn't perform surgery, they had to put him under to reposition the bone and mold him in a Spica Cast. We stayed the night at the hospital to make sure he was doing alright.

Thanks Auntie Stacey for my Elmo. He even went to the OR with me!

Tired baby

Can you believe this is how the hospital sent us home?!?!?!?

Enjoying some special time

Love this pic!

This was a moment that made me a proud Mama! Notice I say "moment" because that is about how long it lasted. Regardless, I enjoyed "the moment!"

We are 9 days into the Spica Cast experience. I have to say it STINKS! I mean that literally too:-) Zachary had his first set of x-rays today and we are moving in the right direction. We go again in 10 days for more x-rays. At this time he will give us an estimate as to when we will be able to free Zachy for the madness.

Thanks so much for all the well wishes and support! We are so blessed!

Choo Choo

A few years ago we took Q to see Thomas. Zachy was still tucked safely in my belly. We planned for months for the big day, as Quintin was absolutely obsessed with Thomas. This year it was a more impromptu trip. It was a beautiful day and we had no plans to do anything but spend time with the boys. I'm so glad we decided to go, it was such a nice afternoon.

Taking a train ride

Good buddies!

Quintin is so lucky to have Logan living right across the street. He just adores him & loves every chance he gets to play with him. It tugs at all our hearts to see a For Sale sign in their front yard!!!
